BORO CLING TO RECORD

STEVENAGE Borough just about held on to their 100 per cent Isthmian League record in last week's 2-1 home win over Hemel Hempstead.

When Jim BEECH fired them ahead in 11 minutes, a goal glut looked imminent, but then Kevin Lowe and Beech squandered chances for a hat-trick.

Steve ARMSBY volleyed Boro 2-0 up in 33 minutes, but DIXON immediately brought Hemel back into the game direct from a free-kick.

The second-half saw Boro look decidedly shaky, they just about held on.
