In January 2012, this move was made permanent as he signed a contract with Stevenage until 2014. He had previously featured at Broadhall Way for an Arsenal XI in a friendly against Boro in summer 2011. Began his career at Gillingham, becoming the youngest ever player to feature in a match in the FA Cup proper, aged 15 years and 233 days. He caught the eye of England, featuring for U16 and U17 age groups and being signed by Arsenal for around £200,000. In 2009-10, he made his Arsenal breakthrough, regularly scoring for their reserve and youth teams, before moving to Yeovil on loan in 2010.
